Notepad++ supports many programming languages, but there may be some programming languages that it may still not support. Though, notepad++ provides a custom highlighting feature, so that you can define your own language in notepad++. It is very easy to enable user-defined language. So, we will generate a new user-defined language for a new language, we will use IDL language which is still not supported in Notepad++. 1. Let's say our file extension is .idl. So, we will go to Languages and User Defined Languages ► User Defined Language ► Create Your Language. 2. Create a new language and give its extension to be idl. 3. Now go ahead and select folding, keywords list, comments and numbers, operators, and enter your language's syntax. Also, select Styler for each and select your own color-coding. 4. Once, you are happy with the results. You can export it as an XML file and pass it along to your colleagues. --- 🚩 Checkout My other playlists 🚩 Notepad++ HTML tutorials, https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL1z4RL0Mc_2UPZkru5IMmmU0Vz42gOlBg Notepad++ tips and tricks, https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL1z4RL0Mc_2XuRjFgG8Xgjc8XYTZK8QJq Notepad++ Themes, Fonts, Look and Feel, https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL1z4RL0Mc_2VCxeAGTVpTgb2MwkIkUurt Notepad++ One Minute Challenge, https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL1z4RL0Mc_2U-MDWdJyVNihFAWF_8O2eS --- 🚩 please LIKE or SUBSCRIBE. 🚩 Please COMMENT If You Like To See Any Video On Specific Topic Music Credits: –––––––––––––––––––––––––––––– Track: Our Leaves in the Breeze — Artificial.Music [Audio Library Release] Music provided by Audio Library Plus Watch: https://youtu.be/0X4o960ge9c Free Download / Stream: https://alplus.io/our-leaves-breeze ––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––
